Photography is an art; an art to capture the object into an artistic photography work. Photographers have an art soul and spirit that can capture the objects into an artistic photography work whether it is a panorama style; sport style; fashion style; black and white style or what ever the style is; they have the same art soul; the art of photography.

There are a lot of objects in nature that evoke a pattern or a rhythm in photography composition. A group of objects can evoke such a pattern or rhythm that can be captured by the camera as a good photograph. A group of objects that evokes such a pattern or rhythm within the frame will become the main point of interest. See also the rules of thirds theory.

A desert that forms a row pattern of dark and bright tone evokes such a rhythm that becomes the main point of interest as a whole in the photography composition. You need to wait the sun height position around 20 – 30 degrees that will light the desert. The sun light will create a dark and bright pattern on the dessert. You can arrange your shooting position and shooting angle to get a perfect composition in the frame because the main point of interest will be the pattern. Another example is vertical lines of black and white tone texture of zebra. Capture an area of zebra body and zoom-in closer to fill the whole frame and make sure that the vertical black and white texture will creates a pattern and rhythm and as a whole becomes main point of interest.

Get accustomed to waiting for a great moment, a best moment to capture. When you want to capture a peacock, wait the best moment when he develops his tail widely and capture his natural colorful fan like tail.

Since the main point of interest is the pattern or the rhythm that is evoked by a group of objects; or nature phenomenon; you need to use small aperture say f/22 to allow each elements of the picture have the same focus detail as if creating such a unity.

Nature Phenomenon

When you go hunting outdoor; it is quite often to find many nature phenomenons that are formed by the cloud. Formation of the cloud in the sky with the lighting effect from the sun light sometimes creates a beautiful formation. For example on the below photograph; the dark cloud with rainbow color at the edges as an effect from the sun light; creates a ghost like form on the left side; chasing the dragon like form on the right side.

When I was going hunting with friends to the lake; I captured this wing like pattern. The light from the sunset illuminated the cloud and I arranged my shooting angel to get a symmetrical reflection from the lake surface.

The above two photographs are simple examples of nature phenomenon; you will find great moments from the nature when you go hunting outdoors. Nature phenomenon happens in seconds; it changes very quickly. You have only view seconds chance to capture the moment. Therefore; it’s wise to always bring the camera with you in case you find a moment that happens just in seconds; you won’t miss it.
